Senbis Polymer Innovations is a privately owned company that supports its customers with applied polymer research. Our organization has over 25 years of experience in polymer research with a specialization in the development of high-end applications of (bio)polymers in the shape of:
- (multifilament) yarns
- monofilaments (e.g. for 3D-printing)
In addition we offer polymerization research and any type of physical and mechanical evaluation of polymeric materials. The unique proposal to the market is not only a team of experienced professionals but also the access to a fully equipped polymer laboratory and a pilot plant to produce specialty products and perform proof-of-principle trials.
In January 2017 the research company Applied Polymer Innovations (API) was rebranded into Senbis Polymer Innovations and became part of the Senbis Group. The private research company was founded in 2008 as a continuation of the R&D activities of Diolen Industrial Fibers in Emmen, the Netherlands, which in turn has been part of the multinational Akzo Nobel. The R&D department was supportive to an industrial facility that produced high tenacity polyester and polyamide multifilament yarns for industries worldwide. By utilizing the fully equipped laboratories and pilot plant a lot of intellectual property and experience has accumulated over decades. This was a perfect fundament for the start of a privately hold research company.
