The product obtained by our polycondensation autoclave can be further polymerized in our laboratory scale SSP equipment. This solid state polymerization (SSP) increases the chain length of several grams of material (typically 10 grams). The small scale is ideal to test multiple molecular weights of a material made in a single polymerization batch. The viscosity of the 10 gram SSP samples can be determined by RDS or Ubbelohde viscometry prior to increasing the scale of the polycondensation process to kilograms on our rotovapor. 

The device uses a controllable heated nitrogen flow based on an industrial scale continuous SSP process. We are able to offer the total SSP package from labscale (grams and kilograms) to industrial scale conducted at partners form our network.
