Letter of Intent: Greenwise Campus and Senbis

By signing a letter of intent, Senbis Polymer Innovations is combining its innovative strength with Greenwise Campus at the innovation center. Managing Director Gerard Nijhoving signed on behalf of the innovative Emmen-based company. Senbis will secure its own space within the Greenwise Campus Innovation Center in 2027—a wonderful milestone that both parties are looking forward to!

Senbis works on smart, sustainable polymers and innovative bioplastics, which is precisely what Greenwise Circular Plastics is all about. As a frontrunner in this field, the company helps build a strong network surrounding circular plastics. From the Innovation Center, Senbis will soon collaborate with other parties on groundbreaking and innovative solutions.

Gerard Nijhoving, Director of Senbis, explains: “The innovation center offers us not only a new home base, but above all a unique network where collaboration takes center stage. It is precisely this cross-pollination between businesses, knowledge institutions, and governments that drives acceleration. It gives us the opportunity to bring our innovations to practice faster, with impact for the region and perhaps even for the whole of the Netherlands and Europe.”

Senbis actively contributes to the strength of the innovation center: with a large laboratory and unique pilot machines in the field of plastics and fibers, they form, together with the research facilities of NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, the beating heart of this center. These facilities are made accessible to other future tenants and partners with a low barrier, thereby strengthening the innovative power of the region.

The signing did not go unnoticed. To mark the occasion of the partnership, Gerard Nijhoving received an apple-green tie—the ultimate symbol of the “green sash” that connects Greenwise Campus with its partners.
